UserprofilesEach user of this online documentation has the possibility to create his own userprofile. Here you will learn how to do this. Existing userprofiles
Profile administrationCreating a new profileTo create your own profile aou must have changed at least one page of thie Wiki. Simply enter your profile name as author when you edit something. Saving the changes creates the footer “Last changes from …” and a link to your profile. If you don’t have a profile yet, then this link will be red, and you can simply follow the link to the editing page, where you can edit your profile. Useful entries might be e-mail (no spam protection), homepage or your real name. There are no limits for your creativity. Protecting your profile from changesTo protect your profile from unwanted changes simply use the Attributes button after saving the page Here you can enter an Edit and an Attribute password, that will be asked for when someone wants to edit the profile. The username thet will be asked at the same time can be left empty since it has no function here. Saving your profile with an Edit password also saves your username, so that nobody else can use your name as author when editing a page without knowing your password. Linking to your profilWith a spezial tag {{~profilename}} you can directly link from a text to your profile. {{~JimRainor}} for example directly links to JimRainor. The text in the link will be the title of your profile, so you should put your name or nickname in there. You should use your tag to sign your own comments and questions, or to tell others that some text is yours and you don’t want others to change it. |
